Goodbye old webpage!

Sigh... it does take me a year ++ to really complete my website. I think, this time round is better. will keep on improving the webpage so that it is useful to the cicibabies out there. I just get myself a copy of the page before it is gone forever.

Grateful...

There are times, we are unsatisfied. We always compare 'notes' of  how our friends' family live their life.

We are unsatisfied and finally frustrated when we see that we are not living the life as good as them.

Disappointment and unsatisfaction turned into grudges we held against our spouse.

But but... have we look around us... and be thankful for the situation we're in right now...?

I always remind myself to count the blessing that I have. Be grateful to the little things that my family have done for me... then I realised.....

1) I have a home we called our own.
2) We have 2 healthy kids who love us so much.
3) I have a husband who help with house chores, though not much, but NEVER complaint about how I did/didn't do my chores..
4) on and off we able to go for holiday and short trips
and the list go on and on....

Just if we keep being grateful to what we have, those time we spend together as family, those simple cooking we had... etc etc... we will have less fights and arguments.. because we would not be so mean and calculative or judgmental about how a good husband/wife should behave.

Chef Wannabe!

COOKING .... is never my cup of tea! Really. My mom a great cook. My hubby is a great cook. Both have taste buds that just allow them to differentiate the type of ingredient used, the method cook by tasting the way the meat cook etc etc.....

As for me, I am unable to do so. But after having twins, the cicibabies, I was 'literally' forced to cook for them. Well, God is good, I must say, for giving me many chances to try to cook. So, well, after a year of trying, I did surprise the cicibabies (a few thumb ups)  and hubby with some of my cookings....

I'm creating a blog that share all those easy and yet yummy cooking recipe that even a no-talent cook like me can succeed. :-D

For the mommies out there who can't cook, DON'T GIVE UP! you can be a little chef in your home too....

The Art of Juggling..

Being a mum in this era is so different from the past where our mums be a mum. There's so many things that we do at the same time as compared to our mums. The 'things' we do don't include cooking, washing... those typical household chores, BUT what i meant includes twitter, facebook, facebook games, sms, skype, instagram, not to mention those time at the spa, hair salon, shopping, movies...... we preoccupied our time more in front of those gadgets.. which our mum don't have in the past.

To them, the most would be just tv series in the telly. that's all.(worst still, we also watch telly like our mums!)

So being a mum in this era to me is very challenging and the art of juggling should be properly done, so that no family members become the casualty in any of the activities carried out. If the art of juggling is not 'balanced' you will end up with a lot of frustrations as you might be rushing all the time, to cope with those activities, or unless you don't care for any of the scarified party at all.

so, how to overcome those exhaustion and frustration you are having right now? take a PAUSE and restructure your life!

Things to ponder today:
1. What is the most important thing you need to do today? Have you accomplished it 'whole-heartedly'?
2. How did your family see you as a mum? did you hear any complaints about how you spend your time?
3. Do you actually love your family?

Family shouldn't be the sacrifice of us being a chic mum!

isolation of the BAD

sometimes, because it is our human nature, we tends to 'filter' and isolate those we think are not suitable or bad friends...

we isolate them because their character, their attitudes are seen as 'shameful'

however, this is not the case in bible.

Jesus came and befriend, held them, love them so that they can be renewed once again. This is a great love.

the book of Corinthians says it all. Paul wrote the book not only to rebuke or give warnings to them, but also to assure them that Jesus loves them much that He is waiting for them and encourage them to let Jesus be the centre of their lives.

Paul does not disown them, does not throw them out because of their bad behaviour, does not fly into a tirade over their irresponsible way.. but takes them by hand, goes over the old ground and directing them....

i guess.. this type of Paul-attitude should be implant and grown into our church, those who wanted to serve as a leader.. in the church.. has to have a heart of compassion... or else... we would not be able to bring back those who are in the midst of chaos..

because.. by then we had abandoned them to their own destructions...

strange habit!

a dark secret had been reviewed!

someone has a habit of talking about people.. (sort of behind somebody's back) but in fact it is very front. (1 meter away) <这样的说法就是论断人!!>

i just can't stand it anymore. the whispering, the criticizing and worsely.. someone called a smoking gal a prostitute!?

how shocking is this huh?

i just wonder, if we kept complaining about people of this world, criticizing about the way people look, dress and do, are we going to show our love for them?

what is the point behind talking like that? that someone said this is to remind ourself not to behave like that, but then i think this action looked down on people and laugh at them, rather than what is claim to be.

this attitude is very congtagious. i worried i might ended up like that too... sigh...

must keep my mind and focus upon Jesus!
